•One that listens to the best recordings everyday
•One that reads about music and musicians every day
•One that doesn’t mind being a music nerd
•One that has several questions each lesson to demonstrate
independent thought and analysis of what is being learned
•One that has many suggestions as to repertoire. Ideas
gained through listening and reading about music
•One that thinks about more than just the notes
•One that implements suggestions immediately
•One that will challenge me with a differing point of view
and have substantiating evidence to back it up
•One that can describe and explain differences in sound
timbre
•One that is honest, sincere and has a smile as we dig in
and work for progress
